The feast of the Divine Master brought all the Paulines in NY/NJ together to the House of the Sister Disciples on Staten Island. The highlight of the day was the perpetual commitment of Dave and Kate Fedak in the Institute of the Holy Family! I felt happy for this wonderful family! Their 9th child is on its way to this world! God bless this great family for all what they are, especially as model Paulines!

Many in the HFI commented on my post on election in our website. I have in no way intended to take sides in this election nor did I intend to mislead anyone. By all means it is a difficult decision for most Catholics. What I wrote in the post is my opinions on two important issues:

1. LIFE. The issue of LIFE is larger than abortion. The integrity, dignity and scaredness of Life in all its stages is to be respected, upheld and protected by all. And murder in all its forms is evil. And as far as I can see, no cnadidate in this election has taken a postion entirely in favor Life. And no candidate promises to protect the unborn by overturning the present legislation.

2. DUTY TO VOTE: Do not waste your precious votes. Participating in the electoral process is a sacred duty for every citizen in a democracy. And before voting, please pray, reflect, weigh all sides and follow your informed conscience which is the voice of the Holy Spirit. After you have cast your vote in this way, please do not live in guilt and fear of hell fire and condemnation. You have only two choices and it is difficult to choose in the given circumstance. Trust in the Divine Master who laid down his life so that we may have life in its fullness.
